The Egypt Center for Research and Regenerative Medicine Welcomes Dr. Zisis Kozlakiadis to Strengthen International Scientific Cooperation

As part of the ongoing efforts of the Egypt Center for Research and Regenerative Medicine to enhance international cooperation and exchange expertise with leading global institutions in medical research and regenerative medicine Major General Dr. Mohamed El-Gohary Executive Director of ECRRM welcomed Dr. Zisis Kozlakiadis former president of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER) and current head of the Laboratory Services and Biobank Group at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon France during his special visit to the center. The visit included a tour of the centers facilities where Dr. Kozlakiadis explored the specialized laboratories and the biobank. The tour was followed by a presentation by the researchers in charge of the biobank who showcased the workflow and the latest scientific and technological developments within the biobank. For his part Dr. Kozlakiadis gave a detailed presentation on the methodologies used in global biobanks focusing on the latest developments in the field and the various methods of preserving biological samples providing a unique opportunity for the exchange of expertise and exploration of best scientific practices. This visit underscores ECRRMs commitment to enhancing its position as one of the leading scientific research institutions in Egypt and the region through its openness to international collaboration and the development of its research capabilities in line with the highest global standards.
