Visit of Students from Pharos University and MSA university to the Center
As part of the ECRRMs commitment to enhancing cooperation with Egyptian universities and raising awareness about the Egyptian Genomics Project a visit was organized for students from the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology at Pharos University in Alexandria and students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at MSA University.
Major General Dr. Mohamed El-Gohary the Deputy Director of ECRRM delivered a presentation to the students about the centers activities and its projects. A documentary film about the Egyptian Genomics Project was also screened. Brigadier Wael Ali the Director for Central Laboratories presented an overview of the sample collection process and the steps involved in their analysis. The staff members involved in these steps explained their roles in the project and the genomic studies.
The students had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification. They explored various aspects to consider in selecting their respective fields of specialization. This experience contributed to the development of their scientific thinking and the enhancement of their graduation projects. The students expressed their appreciation for the visit which helped them gain more knowledge about different fields of work and specializations.
